Jacquelyn Abbott

Soprano - Voice Teacher - Stage Director
Doctor of Music, Jacobs School of Music, Indiana University

Jacquelyn earned her Doctor of Music in Voice Performance with Distinction in 2020, and minored both in Music History and in Theater. She studied voice privately for 17 years, and sings, teaches, and directs at every opportunity. She is currently teaching voice at Utah State University as well as acting for musical theatre with Utah Festival Opera and Musical Theatre. She recently performed as Alice Ford in Giuseppe Verdi’s Falstaff and is engaged to sing Violetta Valery in Verdi’s La traviata in September 2026.

Marc studied privately with the American Center for Puccini Studies for 7 years and discovered his love for opera as well as his impressive and powerful voice. He currently teaches voice as an associate instructor at Utah State University and privately with JM Abbott Music. He will perform as Giorgio Germont in Giuseppe Verdi’s La traviata in September 2026.

About Marc

Open for lessons 12 PM - 7 PM Mountain Time on Mondays through Thursdays, 4 PM - 6 PM on Fridays, and 10 AM - 2 PM on Saturdays. Available for in-person lessons to students in Logan and the greater Cache Valley area in Northern Utah. We are located only 3 miles from Utah State University and one mile from Highway 89 / Main Street.

‘Jacquelyn Abbott is an incredible vocal instructor and I cannot say enough of how much she has helped me in my vocal skills. I am a Soprano 1 and was 20 years old when I had my first vocal lesson with her.
