Pricing

LessonPrice
60-minute lesson$75

Our pricing plan is month-to-month, with a month’s tuition due on the day of the first lesson for that month. We schedule trial lessons to see if you like our services and to see if our instruction method is a good fit for you and your singing goals. You may sign up for one trial lesson without committing to paying for the rest of the month. Please note that we are only offering hour-long lessons.

Parents or legal guardians are responsible for all the lesson payments and fees of their minor children

We highly encourage paying by Zelle, though we also accept Venmo, check, or cash. When you sign up for lessons, you are paying for a time slot for that month. Cancellations and no-shows hurt our ability to schedule other students during that time slot, so we require that you reserve your time by paying monthly.

If a student neglects to pay the monthly lesson fee when it is due, then he/she may not schedule another lesson until all outstanding lessons are paid for, plus a $10 late fee.

Cancellation and Make-Up Lesson Policy

If you miss a lesson without notifying us at least 24 hours in advance (e.g. no-call/no-show), you will forfeit the lesson fee for that day. You are allowed one make-up lesson per month, but you must schedule it with us in advance of the missed lesson. A second absence will not be made up.

If you know at the beginning of the month that you will miss several lessons, we will be happy to pro-rate you the fee for that month. For example, if you are going to be involved in a musical and you know that you can only attend two lessons that month, we will only charge you for two. If we are not notified of planned absences - such as vacations - before invoices are sent out, you will be responsible for the whole month. Exceptions will be worked out on a case-by-case basis.

We allow for exceptions in extreme situations such as illness or family emergencies on a case-by-case basis. In case of inclement weather, we will refund or credit you the amount of the cancelled lesson, or schedule an additional make-up lesson. If we have to cancel a lesson, we will also refund, credit, or make-up the lesson. If your normal lesson would fall on a holiday or a planned studio closure, we will pro-rate your monthly fee accordingly.

We will make every effort to let you know well in advance of any studio closures or lesson cancellations on our part.

Sheet Music for Lessons

Students are responsible for purchasing any copies of music they may need at their voice lessons. We have a large library of music at the studio, but we don’t make copies or loan out our books.

Our Teaching Philosophy

  • Singing is joyful and good for the soul
  • It should be fun, even if it’s hard work sometimes
  • You should never have to overthink singing
  • You’ll almost never the words “breath support” or “placement”
  • You’ll probably never have another singing lesson like one from us

Our unique vocal instruction technique is based on the Cornelius Reid method of vocal training. This method treats the vocal folds like the muscles that they are, using a series of exercises to strengthen them and increase their flexibility — resulting in greater range, stamina, and improved vocal tone. We start by separating your vocal registers, strengthening each separately, then carefully pushing your and your endurance. As your voice grows stronger, you will be more confident in your singing ability with each lesson!
